Terms of Use
Beta version (draft-2026-10)
Last updated: October 24, 2026 · Provider: Pulstart LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“we”, “us”) · Contact: admin@pulstart.com
These terms cover SkateNav (the “app”), a map and clip feed for skateboarders. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use the app
- You must be 13 or older. The app asks your birth year before you sign up, and it can’t be used by anyone under 13.
- If you’re under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms for you.
- One person per account. Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- When you pick a username, you tick a box to accept these terms. We record which version you accepted and when.
2. Usernames
- Usernames must be unique. We block names with offensive words, and names that look like they belong to us or to someone else.
- Don’t pick a name that pretends to be another person or a brand.
3. Your content
- “Content” means the clips, spots and anything else you post, and your username.
- You keep ownership of your content.
- By posting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, re-encode, display and distribute it within SkateNav only.
- The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.
- You confirm you have the right to post it, including permission from anyone who clearly appears in it.
4. What’s public
Other signed-in skaters can see your username, your posts, the spots you add (including exactly where you placed the dot), upvote counts, and who you follow and who follows you.
5. Rules
Don’t post or do anything that:
- is illegal;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or hates on anyone;
- is sexually explicit or very violent;
- shows or involves anyone under 13, or sexualizes anyone under 18;
- pretends to be someone else;
- is spam, or tries to break, overload, copy or scrape the app;
- breaks someone else’s rights, like copyright or privacy;
- shares someone else’s private information, like their home address.
6. Spots, safety and private property
- Spots are added by skaters. We don’t check that a spot is legal, safe or open to the public.
- Skateboarding is dangerous. You can get badly hurt. You skate at your own risk.
- Obey local laws and property rules, and don’t trespass. You’re responsible for where you skate. A spot being in the app is not permission to skate there.
7. Moderation
- Reporting posts and blocking skaters are coming. Until then, email admin@pulstart.com to report something.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms, and suspend or delete accounts that break them.
8. Deleting your account
- Deleting your account in the app is coming. It will remove your profile, posts, clips, upvotes and follows.
- Until then, email admin@pulstart.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete your account.
- The Privacy Policy explains what’s deleted and what stays.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll show you the updated terms in the app before they apply.
10. No warranty, and limits on liability
- The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs or go down.
- As far as the law allows, Pulstart LLC isn’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for injuries or losses from skating at spots you found in the app.
- Our total responsibility to you is limited to $50 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. (The app is free.)
11. Ending your use
- You can stop using the app at any time.
- We can suspend or end your account if you break these terms, or if we stop running the app.
12. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, USA.
- Any dispute goes to the courts in King County, Washington. Either of us may use small-claims court instead, if the claim qualifies.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
